The 99th Scottish Cup final. Black volleys shoulder-high past Bonner. After 40 minutes Aitken races across to send McGhee spinning. Aitken becomes the first player sent off in the Final since 1929. McStay levels for the 10 men. In extra-time Bell hits the post and McGhee scores.

Pissing myself here. I'm a Celtic man through and through. I loved big Packy Bonnar, still do. But jeez the amount of howlers as I watch these old games. Today, Hugh Sneevins, Big Fat Derek Johnstone, Big Fat Big Head Gerry ("I've got Jimmy McGrory's medals") McNee, the 500 camera's and "fans" without an arse in their trousers on phone-ins, would have forced the guy out of the game.

Then you catch a wee glimpse of Tommy Burns. I'm still sore about Tam's death.

Strachan's behaviour in getting Aitken sent off is still remembered by some Celtic fans and went a long way in making him unpopular among a minority of Celtic fans. Some player the wee man but a right pain in the ass at times!

I was there.

We would probably gave ourselves a better chance of winning that day if we hadn't had big Roy Aitken sent off early in the game for an inocious foul on Mark McGhee.
