And when twisting the wires, just put the 2 ends together in a drill and spin it. Will get a much more uniform and tight wind.

Some organs have the same problem. I cured my Elka EP-8 by simply moving the wires and transformer away from the sensitive part of the electronics. I don't know why Elka didn't do this from the start as there were space enough to do it.
