Mike Wiley's theatrical adaptation of "Blood Done Sign My Name" drew a near capacity crowd to ImaginOn Wednesday. The play examines how the murder of a black Vietnam veteran and the acquittal of the white suspects nearly ripped apart Oxford, N.C. Those who lived through this ordeal say the play is reminder that despite laws protecting equality, everyone must remain vigilant in the struggle. This was a wonderful one man show. He told the story with his actions. The young lady that did the singing was awesome. She is truly blessed. I saw the play in Oxford, then I saw it in the movies, and I also purchased the book. It is a sad situation but I am glad Mr. Tyson put it out there to show people racism did exist and it still does. But with the grace of GOD, racism will not prosper. Thank you Mr. Tyson.
