The Trials ENO freewheel was developed specifically for trials riding, with a focus on quick engagement and durability. Can this freewheel be used in a single speed application? Most certainly. Typically, in trials riding, the freewheel is installed on the crank arm with a fixed gear rear hub. A special outer gear case is beefier than the standard ENO freewheel: 8620 steel, cased hardened and electroless nickel plated. The engagement system is further upgraded with a six pawl system yielding 72 points of engagement, double that of the standard ENO freewheel. Available in 18t only, however, MTBR members have confirmed and created DIY instructions that can use any ENO casing with the Trials internals. Finally, the White Industries ENO Trials freewheel is made in the USA - Petaluma, California, specifically.

  • i am interested in what the average humidity of the room was when this test was performed. according to my spectrometer the db and pitch can be affected by varying nuances of water vapor distribution in the air space around the hub and microphone

  • @rorschachh: Yeah, what he said.

  • A redundant question. I think you just answered that!
