The Saxon Robotics Bot Bash 2009!

The competition was Alfred University's first RFL sanctioned event. Antweight fighting robots competed in a single elimination tournament, and Beetleweight robots fought in a double elimination tournament.

Matches were set for three minutes. At 2 minutes thirty seconds, we opened the "pit" Originally slated to be a trapdoor in the arena floor, time constraints meant that the taped-in box at the center of the arena would then become an elimination zone, with the first 'bot to break the plane of the tape declared the loser.
