@DKMstudio Those are the correct Kelsey Hayes wire wheels that came stock with the Sports Roadster package. The tires however should have three quarter inch white walls. Ford discontinued the wide white walls in the early '61 models.
@PinkTorpedoMan I have to disagree about the wide whitewalls. Those look better on a square Bird. At least this owner hasn't committed the atrocity of putting a continental spare on this model car as someone else on this site did.
I wonder if GM ever built a vehicle of such high quality or impecable design as the Fords, Lincolns or Mercurys of this time period. I seriously doubt Chrysler did.
@DJ86023 I agree, these wide white walls were not offered in this year, actually only a few of the early '61's came with wide white walls and then they were discontinued. They look much better with the 3/4" white walls as offered from the factory. One other thing that stands out is the cromed hood scoop, better to have left it original.

Think "Corvette"...but you are mostly correct.

Pussy Magnet.
No..really...back in '62 if you were under 70 yrs old and had at least 1 good eye a T-Bird would get you laid.
Still will.

I love white walls - looks awesome - I`m pretty sure a lot of aftermarket owners went for them back in the day - they look so good!
