Metropopular is an animated short film about what the cities of America would say to one another if they could talk. Frantic about a popularity contest in which these cities are competing, they jockey for top position while arguing between themselves. Highlighting their separate personalities, each city had his or her own reason why they should be "America's favorite city."
Directed by Jonah Hall and produced by Jason Heapy and Laura Lockwood.
A PDI/DreamWorks film.

The Metropopular cartoon's characterization of LA expresses an element of the urban San Diego experience--the frequent low overflight of helicopters. I believe the SD PD has the budget to keep a copter in the air nearly all night/ all day--. Let's have a network of Web mics / microphones so people could hear what it sounded like in particular parts of SD at a given moment.
