we debated on that. She's a big girl though so she more than met the weight and height for forward facing. I know rear is safer but we always strap her in very snug and we feel she is safe. we do keep her in the middle of the car for side impacts. We gave this a lot of thought and were torn but went with a forward facing seat. thanks for your concern.
