Michael Holding, Andy Roberts, Colin Croft and Joel Garner constituted the original fearsome foursome. They were the best pace attack the world has ever seen. These highlights show them on the attack against Australia at Adelaide in 1980.

  • Roberts dismissing the Chappell brothers in two balls is legendary!

Great attack led by the great Antiguan.

  • I was a kid back then in Pakistan. I don't remember the foursome in action, but I distinctly remember their names. This was the golden era of cricket. No four individuals will ever dominate the game and strike fear in the hearts of batsmen and spectators alike as these four did.

  • @babcock3613 Why don't you go and play your sports then instead of posting pathetic comments. If you don't like cricket then just don't watch videos about it.

  • the don!!!!Wowww :)

  • I love this because Australia brought the fast, agressive bowling attack into life with Lille and Thomson in 74-75 (which was little more than Bodyline in modern clothing), so it's really ironic to see them undone by their own creation.

  • @eeshankulkarni I would say no because I would not be caught dead playing this stupid sport. Try Hockey or American Football real sports.

  • @babcock3613 i wonder if we could get joel garner to bowl a bouncer at your head.....

  • This Sport Sucks.

  • Yes indeed. Never before, and very unlikely to be seen again, will there be a pace attack as the West Indies in the 70's and 80's. Apart from this great quartet, there was Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh, Bishop, Patterson etc. Add to that bowlers of the ferocity of Wayne Daniel and Sylvester Clarke, who could hardly get a game - but would've walked into any other Test side!

  • Check out the "Fearsome Foursome Fantastic Chilli."

  • @KyokushinStudent yeah and there was a jokes about all that...like batsmen in the pavilion saying "here hold my cigarette I will be back soon" when going out to face them.

  • The ball at 0.28 was that a bouncer or a good length lifter....could not see.
