Do you remember what the german shepherd used to be? large,straight backed,big boned, long lived family pet that you did'nt have to put away when the neighbors come over? I have been breeding the Old fashioned german shepherd for more then 25 years. Bringing back what the shepherd used to be is my passion. the old style shepherds in not bred just for size.. I have a history too look at the pictures from your 70's books they are much bigger straighter backed! calmer dogs they were family pets not schutzhund, not show dogs. kind of naughty to try to advertise your dogs on my sight don't ya think?

Julie has alot of royalair though kodiak bear and silver mark daughters, sons and grandchildren in her lines we do alot of working together. I don't think she does you tube though..

oh I here that all the time, then when you prove it with photo's of shepherds from 50 years ago that are cleary much bigger, heavier and with straight backs they just say what they are doing now is an improvement. I even have letter from old timers describing the size andlook of what they remember and they still insist that is not what the shepherd was meant to be..

Being nostalgic about a beautiful German Shepherd couple I used to have some years ago I came across your website. Man, it brought tears in my eyes as these kind of shepherds are almost extinct in Europe. Congratulations on your kennel.Some of them are exactly like my ones were-the male was 145 pounds and the female was around 120. Well, thank you for letting me see some real shepherds again. :)

I also have 6 ft high Kennels. I have to put a hot wire on so they don't climb over the top when I had german dogs they were not that athletic? Not even close the roach back kept them form climbing. They also lived much shorter lives!I never got one to live past 11 now my average age is 13! so stick to your way. I will stick to mine and quit bitching on my sight

@deniseguzzardo I have been actively involved with the breed since 1960, and I know for a fact these are not the original lines, and I don't think it's right to sell them as such and rip people off for their money. I've also seen how GSDs are being physically and mentally deteriorated for shows and looks, and people need to to stop this. Promoting monstrous sizes and lowering prey drives is not helping the issue. While this may impress the neighbours, it handicaps a working dog.

@TheInsomniac247 yes...my first one lived to be 14 years old..My Vet LOVED her and she never had a health problem until the day she died..Always sound... always happy.... died in her sleep of a heart attack

@cuppycake0197 well for one..no one asked you to purchase one, for too..if this is such a crappy line, why do you feel so compelled to chase her around from site to site and degrade the dogs that we love.. Why cant you just look the other way and shrug your shoulder and say what ever? Why? because you feel threatened and let me tell you something sister..Anybody can hang a damn shingle and claim to be what ever... and I think it is in really poor taste to slam your competition. Its a turn off

I'm getting really tired of all the Old Style, Old Fashioned, Original, Old World, Over Sized, Selah Shepherds. This is NOT the correct original shepherd. The original shepherd resembled a Malinois greatly- Not a St. Bernard or Alaskan Malamute. For those of you who would like to learn more about what these people claim to be breeding look up Shawlein.com Breed Types and Related Families. This site shows the CORRECT structure of Shepherds- Past and Present.

you have beautiful dog's ! i've had old fashioned type GSD's for year's but decided to get a german type bitch around two year's ago only to find out when she was eight month's old that she has hip dysplasia she's a lovely dog but i should of got another straight back dog but i was told the german type dog's had better hip's than the show type !
