I managed to match a post-earthquake version (hardly recognizable) and attempted to match the current scene, partly to have a reference point though I'm not at all sure I got that matched up quite right. I don't believe there is anything left in these last few blocks of Market from before the 1906 earthquake. I would like to see fresh film shot of the whole stretch of the original pre-earthquake film, which is longer than this clip but it didn't work out well enough to bother with the google street map version. It should have a matched focal length and be shot from the front seat of an F-Market trolley, but ti would have to be heavily edited like a time lapse through the intersections since back then, they could do the whole run without stopping once, at about 5 miles an hour. It's funny how everyone is traveling at 'horse' speed and there are no traffic controls at all.
