Alternate Ending - Sweeney Todd: 2010 Halloween Project

What if Sweeney Todd ended on a more hopeful, inspiring note? We have no idea. But we do have this alternate ending for you to listen to!

Phil and Sara wrote this entire thing as a creative way to show what might have happened if one slight change was made to the Finale. Beth was greatly impressed by it, so much that this remains her favorite part of the whole project. We hope you enjoy it at least half as much as she does. :) Phil, Sara, and Beth all do voices, Phil directed everything from 2,000 miles away through text, and all just for fun.

This was AMAZING. But strangely enough, it made me even more depressed than the original ending. I guess it's because I was hoping Sweeney and Lovett would be able to reconcile and stay together...

Believe me, I know. Why Phil thought hearing me sob at the end would inspire feelings of good cheer, I'll never know. He kept telling me it was better than dying :P I suuppoooooseee.

You really did a great job! Sweeney Todd definitely needs an alternate ending (even if it's a sad one for poor Mrs Lovett....at least he didn't kil her in your version)

This is positively amazing. *_* But yes, terribly sad. Especially the way Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett seemed to be on genuine speaking terms near the end. It's so sad that he'd leave her all alone again.

But is Lucy normal now? Or does she still have her... condition? I didn't catch that part at the end, if it was mentioned.

Once again, very believable ending. You've got the characters' voices right on, too.

If it were to end well I'de have that Lucy did die and mr t fell in love with mrs lovett and they got married, freed johanna and raised her and toby! There problemen solved

The ending was so sad!! :( both of these endings (this and the original) were AMAZING!! good voice actors too!
