Corned Beef Hash Patties

Several people have asked where I get my heart shaped ramekins. I buy them at Safeway. I usually only see them during January, while they last. I bought one to share with a 'lucky' winner (ha!). I will also add one of my Valentine's day trivets that I have sewn.

All you have to do to be in on the giveaway is, along with your comment, say that you'd like to be included in the drawing. You can enter every day from any of the videos from this one on through the end of the month when I do the drawing. Just be 18 or have your parents' permission. I will draw the winner's name on February 1st. Hopefully this time someone won't have to remind me (ha! again!). This ramekin is red (my others are red, pink and brown--this year they didn't give a color choice!)

1 russet potato, diced into 1/4 inch cubes
1 can corned beef
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions
2 Tbsp. minced onion
1/3 tsp. pepper
Flour
Oil for frying.

Cook diced potatoes in boiling water until soft and well cooked. Drain well and cool. Combine the cornedbeef, egg, green onions, onion, pepper and cooled potatoes in a large bowl. Form into small patties and lightly dust with flour. Cook in a heated pan with oil until golden and cooked through.

i am so impressed by the turn-key open the can thing! i have never seen that before, but i have never seen corned beef in a can before either.

duh, of course - japanese take-out... the whole canned meat [spam] love over there would include corned beef hash. they look reallly good. i would def try this one.

Never tasted corned beef out of a can in my life, don't know why, never have. I do like the sliced corned beef sandwiches, is it close to that? Or more spam-like?
