The new beams and columns bave been installed, and the workmen are installing 2x4 studs along the outer wall (but 1 inch from the wall - nowhere do I have wood in direct contact with concrete). The outer wall will be isulated with 3 1/2" sprayed-on polyurethane insulation. Horizontal forenz slats will be placed over the studs, to allow airflow between the studs, then gyprock. Before the insulation is sprayed, all the plumbing and wiring has to be installed on the outer walls.

Originally I was going to have rigid insulation outdoors, but because of the weather conditions and ease of installation, we decided to use spray-on insulation on the inside of the foundation wall. The insulation is rated R-23, and acts as a vapour barrier as well as an insulator.

Because it is a fire hazard, polyurethane insulation needs to be covered with gyprok.

This will be tha last video for a while.
