http://www.squidoo.com/rossoverfall When you are healthy, inflammation is essentially the immune system's first reaction to infection or irritation. It's a good thing! However, rash, persistent or system-wide inflammation is a definite kind of BAD soreness, the dark side of what really should be a healing process. thereafter, chronic inflammation ensues. Here is what occurs in more detail Inflamed tissue is flooded with macrophages looking to get rid of the damaged cells from the wounded tissue. Dr. William Meggs, in his book'The Inflammation Cure' explains it this way: The chemical messengers stop ringing the soreness alarm, and blood vessels and the lymphatic system carry the surplus fluid, dead pathogens, damaged cells, and leaked blood cells away from the location of inflammation. Sadly, when the body becomes unbalanced, the system can overreact, or stop working, or turn against us, or simply continue fighting small battles each day so that soreness continues indefinitely.' This is why uncontrolled or protracted swelling is kind of always accompanied by tissue destruction. However, soreness may also be associated with general'flu-like' symptoms. Scientists have been working the treatment of inflammation and studying glutathione's role in prevention. The symptoms you may feel relies on which organs are affected. For example: Inflammation of the heart ( myocarditis ) may result in shortness of breath or leg swelling. Redness of the little tubes that transport air to the lungs may result in an asthma attack. In that way, rash swelling anonymously and noiselessly destroys our cells, only to be noted once a serious quantity of damage produces an obvious symptom. So, the goal should be, not only the treatment of inflammation, but to prevent it. How? By keeping your body balanced. By understanding what you can do to make sure your body has what it needs to fight infection, disease, poisons, viruses and wounds normally. We all know that we need to exercise and eat healthy foods. Everyone knows that supplements and vitamins are profitable. In fact, many of us looking for a natural cure spend hundreds of dollars a year on vitamins, minerals and other beneficial supplements. And, although you have had a measure of success with the variety of additions you have taken over time, you may not have experienced a true breakthrough. Well, here is something that you should know. This molecule is named glutathione or GSH. A chemical or substance our body produces by itself which has been called the'master antioxidant'.
