Happy 83rd Birthday Marilyn!!!!!

Marilyn Monroe is the greatest female star the world has ever seen. No one created more of a phenomenon or a stir, or has lasted in the hearts and minds of the world for longer. We all remember her brief but memorable first performances in films like All About Eve, we all remember her smouldering appearance in that hot pink dress in Niagara, and we all remember her adorable solo of I Wanna Be Loved By You in Some Like It Hot.

Why do we love her so much? Was it that quintessential Hollywood smile that never failed to gleam and brighten our day? Was it her beautiful face, platinum blonde locks and perfect womanly figure?

Or does it run deeper than that? Was it the childlike innocence that crept through in all her roles? Was it the sadness that never seemed to leave her bright blue eyes? Was it the fact that a girl who had nothing all her life, who belonged to nobody, lived her dream of becoming the greatest star of them all through sheer determination and against all the odds?

To me it's all those things. You first notice Marilyn for her outrageously stunning looks, then you become a fan after seeing her unique comedic and dramatic talent onscreen. But when you read about her tough history and the lifelong battle she fought, you love her and wish that you had been her friend so that you could have reassured her that she wasn't alone, and that she was loved; adored by millions across the globe and in the future.

This is for you Marilyn, a video to show the great screen moments and newsreels of your life. I hope in this video to show you all why Marilyn is so legendary, and why none of us will ever forget her.

The first piece of music is "The River Flows In You" by Yurima. This is to the photo montage which I hope shows Marilyn's incredible luminosity in photos, and the way her face always told a story.

The second is the song "Fix You" by Coldplay. The lyrics describe a person who struggles and nearly gives up, whose life has left them worn, and we wish we could 'fix' Marilyn, get her out of the depression and abyss that ruined her final years.

Happy Birthday Marilyn. Your courage got me out of some tough times, your inspiration to me is indispensable. I hope wherever you are, probably the most beautiful angel in heaven, or the brightest star shining up in the sky, you can look down on the world and know for sure that you were always loved by us, and always will be.
