  • Well he isnt training, he is demonstrating a technique to the class!

Well as a 9th Dan & a Japanese man (Japanese take their watches very seriously), are you gonna tell him not to wear his watch (i think not)!?

Also why would you hold back against a Hanshi (if you were privileged enough to play him)?

Also 'suriage men' is not a stupid technique, its a fundamental waza!

*You have much to learn grasshopper!

  • Seriously....wtf are you on? 9th DAN in kendo will take a complete life time to achieve (if you can), & only if you start as a child & are exception above all others, devoting your enitre life to kendo!

    SHOW SOME F"ING RESPECT!

match speed in kata??? (you say you do kendo?)

  • Hahahaha kendoka666 i think you have been schooled in the art of bullshito not kendo when you get above 6 kyu then open your mouth

  • You say you do kendo, but still you are unable to recognise one of the basic katas? How long have you been training? 2 months?

  • since i am so tall a majority of people go for my kote so this works haha they do kote i do suriage men. works 9/20 times :)

  • word! it cost me an ippon at the last tournament :)

  • Just one thing to Kendoka666 "lawl" because if you think a suriage men can't be used during jigeko or a shiai then you haven't tried or you only have a limited amount of techniques that you do. So your Kendo stays the same, it never improves.

  • How can you call your self a kendoka... Any budo is about respect and mental training. Clearly you haven't learned a single bit of anything in your training. People like you are a disgrace to the sport and to Japan. Try not to mutilate other countries cultures with your ignorance.

  • lawl cause im sure you could obtain 9th dan. considering the pass rate of even the 8th dan exam i think not.

  • thats what i meant im saying this again the drums is used for commands!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where are these drums???

    i see a fire hose & a clock.....

anyway, the siganls are usually verbal commands spoken in Japanese!

  • Although just to be abit technical, the other guy (sensei i assume?), did drop the kensen during his attack! (if you also do Iaido, you would be very aware of this common mistake)

However, much can be learnt from this short clip!
