YES - it is possible.

Sega Channel is now recovering. And this is an emulation of the binary ROM.

  • I remember playing this on the genesis as a young child, I loved it so much.

  • @Tiamat583 I'm glad this is nostalgic. PM me, if you'd like the ROM file. I will send you a DL to it friend.

  • Audio on the new videos are currently unavailable

  • This was just a prototype version of the SEGA Channel, made by the ToeJam & Earl guys as a concept. The SEGA Channel that was released was made by a different team and had different menus.

All the stuff in those menus was just included in this ROM as fake examples, the final version can't show any of those because it just can't get the information from the now nonexistant servers.

Nothing special had to be done in order to emulate this prototype. SEGA Channel emulation is as far away as ever.

  • How do you get it working on an emulator?

  • Can You Send IT To Me,Please!

  • @SmokeyBluntRoach excuse me.... a front end emulator based off of the sega channel.... or, even better, sega channel turned into flash cartridge. oh dear god.

  • possible... yes. possible to make an emulator based off of the sega channel, changeable themes, and what not, legendary god like status.

  • The sad thing about all this is that there's a motherload of useless data on the internet right now, and we'd kill for this small bit of data that doesn't exist anymore from the SEGA Channel.

    Oh well.

  • I found an ROM image the Sega Channel, how do I make it work? I tried with Fusion 3.64 but it dosen't work.

  • It was more on like VOD with the old analog ppv like broadcasts but the data download real fast and the data was sent out in a loop. Play cable was the same way. One way data only

and Sega Channel cost as much as cinemax with out the sex.

  • The beginning sounds like kinda like Seinfeld

  • @onlinearchitect lCEknight was right! You're just butthurt because you're wrong.

  • I never had this but i'd love the rom!

  • sega was better to be ahead of the time psone never had that modem or anything like that or n64 at the time.
