  • where did you get your tail lights ? is the whole lens totally clear or just the top and bottom? great looking car!

  • The tail lights are only clear on the top and bottom. The tail lights are very hard to find but I found them on eBay. Thank you for the comment!

  • it is nice, u need to stick another vid up when you get it fixed from the ditch incident. i got 2 70's. like the pop out windows you did, and where did you get those headlamps? they look like hid but i know theyre halogen

  • Thank you for the complement! The bug is fixed up and running again. I've been meaning to take it for a spin on the same road I crashed on, but ever since the crash, the steering has been really touchy. As soon as I fix that, I will take it for another spin and make another video.

As for the lights, I bought them off eBay. They are Blue Halo Headlights. As for the bulbs, they are H4's. Very bright!! Just don't forget to turn off your lights! The H4s drain the battery!

  • real nice car, i love bugs, i will buy one this year, its a promise i made to my father.......anyway. the question is ...um..how long did you take to transform the bug? and also was it really that expensive, or not that much?....

  • Thanks! It took me 2 months to transform my bug ( 3-6 hours a day 5 days a week). I could have finished it in in a month and a half but I ran into a problem that I had to order a specail tool. As for the cost, it was a ltille over $800 to fix it up.

About $500 for the 2" wider fiberglass fenders, wider bumpers, and wide running boards.

I got the rims and tires $150 from a "Pick up only bid" off ebay.

The rest was brakes, hoses, sway bars, etc...
