Join GrowthBusters to find the cure for the silent killer of growth addiction. Unending economic growth, pursuit of population growth, perpetual urban growth, and increasing consumption are not the model for a sustainable culture. The GrowthBusters movie is now finished, but we still need your help. Join the movement and help us get the film widely seen, at http://www.growthbusters.org

“…the real fundamental necessary change is to get over our obsession with economic growth and our avoidance of the issue of population stabilization/reduction.” Dave what do you propose holocaust or forced abortion like in China. You are pathetic. You should start with your family.

  • @317system I simply propose compassionate people that we are, we voluntarily restrain our urge to reproduce with abandon, and limit our family size - out of love and concern for the well-being of our own offspring, if nothing else. I started with my own family. I stopped at two.

  • Who benefits if we cure growth addiction? Or are you asking what happens to the donations to this cause?

We all benefit, but especially our children and future generations. Donations help fund the non-profit documentary GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth, and are tax-deductible in the U.S.

  • The "people" don't suffer from "growth addiction" ,the parasites running the planet do !

Every thinking person knows in their heart of hearts that the idea of perpetual growth is ridiculous . Watch this video to learn where we really are ...a quote to justify watching the 1 plus hour of "reality check" is "the next twenty years will not be like the last twenty years !"

  • Also, when a male and female gets married it's resourceful and it helps to sustain the system. The couple shares landspace, they share the home, they share the washer and dryer, they share the stove and refrigerator, they share the toilet and bathtub, they share the carpet, the paint on the walls, the pictures, the bed,you should get to picture by now.So marriage also helps to sustain the system.

  • fossil fuel consuming humans are a planetary cancer. fortunately for non human species and sustainable living hunter gatherer races, it has a peak oil shaped cure.

what made us grow will bring us down.

  • Ironic isn't it? Every corporation on the planet is downsizing, trying to increase profits by working more efficiently with less staff but Governments cant shake their addiction to the quick buck of more consumers. Eventually the population will have no choice but to stop growing and they will be forced to do what they should do now. Why build products that will last a lifetime, when you can have an army of underpaid workers to build cheap disposable products and consume, consume, consume?

  • One of the Old Questions: "Qui bono?"/"who benefits"
