Riders often face crucial challenges with varying light conditions; cloud coverage changes, bright sun blazing at the end of tunnel, gaps of sunlight piercing through buildings. For years, the motorcycle market has tried a host of mechanical solutions to reduce these hassles and safety risks. Finally, the world will experience an innovative, electronic solution.
e-Tint®: instantaneous tint on demand.

e-Tint® motorcycle visor inserts electronically change tint, either with the quick touch of a button or automatically by a light sensing photo cell. Now riders can easily install an insert to their faceshield and eliminate the need to carry extra visors or wear sunglasses underneath their helmet. The MX-8 is a manually controlled visor insert available in blue and smoke tints. The AX-9 allows the rider more freedom as it can be used manually or in a hands-free, automatic light sensing mode. Both models feature patented liquid crystal technology developed for US Air Force fighter pilots. The MX-8 and AX-9 inserts are also equipped with high grade anti-fog plastic and a USB rechargeable, high-capacity lithium batteries for continuous hours of operation.

  • @wingerrrrrrrrr In both models, automatic & manual, the tint changes in less than 1/10th of a second...literally in the blink of an eye. Also, the rider in the video changed the tint of the insert before entering the shaded area. Thanks for commenting!

  • wonder why the tint came on when entering the shaded area in the clip near the end.

How quickly does it revert to light tint in automatic mode right before entering a tunnel with sunlight still striking the sensor?
