That's my translation. Here, I try to capture the legend and history of Yellow Crane Tower, the scenery from poet's viewpoint on the tower overlooking Changjiang River toward Hanyang village on opposite bank, and lastly, the mood of the poet.

A legendary immortal already ascended on yellow crane, all that remains here is the Tower of Yellow Crane. Yellow crane had left and never returned, for a millennium white clouds passed over with little concerns. Tis calm clear day river reflects trees from Hanyang, fragrant grass lushly covers Parrot Isle. At dusk I was jolted back to my sense, which road leads to my hometown? River had stirred and covered by mists, heart of a mortal now feels gloomy.

@cikgubeng, "Chinese Intolerant trees in Sichuan"? "luxurant grass" ? (pogoda was in Hubei province, "Hanyang" was name of a town opposite the Changjiang River from where the Yellow Crane Tower stood)
Reading your translation of this famous poem is like hearing some one using Dennis Rodman's moves on and off basketball court to describe His Airness Micheal Jordan's poetic mid-air movements one the basketball court during his prime. lol!

Does anyone knows the name of this beautiful singer.
Thank you for posting this song.
It is absolutely mesmerising.
I have found a better translation of the poem "Yellow Crane Tower" :
The yellow crane has long since gone away,
All that here remains is yellow crane tower.
The yellow crane once gone does not return,
White clouds drift slowly for a thousand years.
The river is clear in Hanyang by the trees,
And fragrant grass grows thick on parrot isle.
In this dusk, I don't know where my homeland lies,
The river's mist-covered waters bring me sorrow.

Dear Hxuanyuan,
The translation you found is indeed very good. It reflects every detail of the poem which gives a distinctive picture of the poetic conception. But translations by transliteration way generates a feeling of neither fish nor fowl. Poems should be paraphrasingly transcribed. Only through this way, can the thoughts of the poet be demonstrated to the maximum.
