Find where air is entering and yes it makes them a bastard to start if they start at all!
Change fuel filter and filter head/ primer assemble - £35.
To test look for bubbles on outside of primer
or remove pipes and pressure test, or take it to diesel specialist.
after removing any pipes u will have to prime system.
Took me ages to fix my air leak.
Had3 faulty filer heads!

hey do you know if the air in system would caus the car to have a hard time to start and what do i do to fix it... lol just found a big bubble of airr in the fuel line when stopped...

Sounds to me like a bearing noise from the tensioner or alt.

Is it just me or I see red inside the fuel line? ;-)

AIR IN SYSTEM!!
if its making more noise now than before.
Have u just changed fuel filter?
if not then check all pipes to pump.
U can see bubbles in the pipe on this video.

1 second of listening the engine - and i knowed what's it - it is VW 1.9 tdi :D P.S. it's better that Beetoven, for my ears :)

oo... wow, forgot i posted this. yeah, im not very good at diagnosing my car problems.. the sound i was hearing was from the water pump that was changed during the timing belt.
it was like snowshovel on pavement sound.. hard to hear on the video.
