There's an English magazine called Computer Music dedicated to music production and they've just released a special issue, 'DJ Guide 2009', with a headline interview from Armin and a 15-minute video on the enclosed CD-ROM entitled 'How To DJ with Armin van Buuren, World's Number One DJ' supposedly allowing you to 'see the tricks and techniques that have put him on top'.

The video was recorded before his gig at Ministry of Sound in April and it's basically Armin talking for quarter of an hour at the decks, a mixture of general DJ advice and showing how he uses cue points on the CDJ1000s together with some of the basic effects on the DJM800 mixer.

Dang, I've always wanted to try and DJ, but I looked at this and I got kind of intimidated lol. But then again, he's the best in the world. I know like nothing about DJIng haha. Fail.

@MrTheNova if you are the beginner i would recommend you pioneer djj-s1 it's cheaper, but its good, and if you get mastered at that, then you could buy the expensive stuff, like armin has, btw, good luck!

no problem, but choose wisely! dj'ing is very expensive.!

you can also look at the cheaper "denon" cd players.. or something similar

Hey, yeah I got the same Problem. In this video armin is using a pair of cdj-1000s (mk3?)

If you also want to buy yourself cdj players, i would compare all cdjs. You can also watch reviews of the players on youtube. The best thing would be if you can try them out, maybe at a friends home or in a store.

I want to buy myself a CDJ-400 or a 350, because the others are way too expensive for me.
