No, but it definitely captures the sadness that is behind the creepiness. It was definitely creepy at first, but after rewatching the show (I'd read the game, but I can't) and knowing the answers/truth behind everything, I can only feel sadness/pity towards the events of everything.

This does not capture the creepy side of Higurashi. Thos Umineko openings are much better. However, I like the songs.

@Anhiksi Thanks for replying! But i've already read EP 1-7 and am waiting for EP 8 translation pack. I was referring to the fact that some characters from the Higurashi anime do not appear on the DS or manga versions and i wanted to enjoy those extra arcs. XD

@SFGK huuh hard to say, atm Umineko no naku koro ni is the thing, you can download the 1st EP free from Witch Hunt translation site, it explains some things from different angle, different people, different place

I WANNA KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT HIGURASHI!!!!! But the only things that i have been able to watch are the anime's Higurashi no naku koro ni, Sequel Kai, and last part Rei. I've seen that there are side arcs with extra characters and storie arcs about the higurashi universe, anyone know how i can best enjoy this series????

hey i was read Mion's story on wikipidia and it says that Her real name is actually Shion, as she was born second to the family, but due to sister swapping even at a young age, she was mistakenly taken as Mion and branded with the oni tattoo, ultimately causing her to stay as Mion. Mion also serves as leader of the after-school club consisting entirely of the main characters.
