@lovebug112484 because songs are organic, you start by fitting them into the melody, then your ego kicks in cos you know that some point in the future, people like us will ananlyse them. then you find the words you really wanted to say from the start.......and it comes full circle...and makes sense to the writer and the listener. even this version is all Steve's voice, emotion completes it................or some sort of bollox like that

@lovebug112484 I think they changed them to make the song more serious, and less humorous. Just my guess though, since they've never actually said why.
