Left 4 Dead Healing Yourself Does Not Give You Health Bonus

We set out to prove that healing yourself at the end of a round in Left 4 Dead does not result in a higher score (versus). This is why: if you are holding a medkit it counts as using it on yourself. You CAN get a higher bonus if you heal someone with less health than you AND no medkit.

@moldyskittle I'm guessing you didn't play L4D1 in the first couple months since it came out? Literally every game people would stand outside the saferoom and heal themselves and usually get themselves killed because they thought they got more points.

@moldyskittle the campaigns are easy. Played one week and can take advanced like a pro. Matter of time before able to play expert. Versus on the other hand... Between your own n00biness at being infected (first times) and people kicking you off its very hard to play versus, imo the hardest mode in the game

@winK414 Taking pills does not give you a health bonus nor does it give a bonus to someone bleeding out that is holding them. You will receive a 1(red yellow)-2(green) point bonus if you maintain a solid health.

@leeoFaaneellii True that it wasn't versus, but you can turn cl_dynamiccrosshair off in versus too. Doesn't change a damn thing other than what your crosshair looks like.
