Im a big arsenal fan and I agree

Totally agree watch the lower leagues mate

Look at the financial troubles at Man Utd now, man. You were right after all!!
-
I am an Arsenal fan but I do agree with you, I think that there should be spending limits on clubs so everybody will have a chance, like my second favorite Sunderland

Chelsea RULES!!!!!!

I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and have been my whole life, through thick and thin. They won their 5th Super Bowl back in 95, but then what happened? The salary cap, free agency. The Cowboys are one of the top 5 most valuable sports franchises in the world (according to Forbes anyway), so there's no doubt Jerry Jones could have kept that train going. Sure, I would have loved to see that. We probably would have had another couple of rings, but I also love the sport and the league.

You are right on, man. Totally agree. Like you, I've only been into the EPL for a little while. I am a Chelsea fan, who I know are the epitome of the problem you're discussing. But I like Michael Ballack, John Terry, and Michael Essien. Plus, it's hard to become a fan of a team that, like you said, has no chance in hell of winning.

mate shut up you know nothing

When he first came around he said "We're glad Rick and Dave will have a continuing role, stability is the key to the futurte." Within just over a year he has tried to fire Rafa and has asked Rick for his resignation.
He said he intends to "Respect the history and heritage of Liverpool." Then announces he will destroy the stadium in which Shankly built an army and the Kop stood and put fear into the heart of the opposition. He is a hypocrite.
Sponsorship deals are an undiscovered gold mine.

I call it recognising that Anfield has 45,000 seats and a lot more capitol could be made from ticket sales. They put plans together to build a cheap stadium (composed mostly of glass) and sell more tickets to consumers. I've done a fair amount of research on Hicks, I kbnow about how he purchased the Rangers, I know about Dr Pepper and 7 Up, I know about Hicks and Haas, I know about his Equity firm, he is a monster with a good publicity team. Anfield must be preserved, it symbolises a culture.

everton are a good example of a well run club. our chairman grew up near the stadium, but we also have some investment from the owner of planet hollywood. there should be a max of 20million spent by each club and 50000 should be the salary cap.

Yes, Everton is "REALLY" good example of well run club. Not only has the owner spent wisely. but David Moyes has managed incredibly well. Yobo and Cahill are personal favorites.
I like your suggestions about the spending limits.
Now only if the Premier league officials and the England FA would go adopt it (I won't hold my breath though - I'd turn as blue as the Everton shirt before action would be taken, I'm afraid).

I'll tell you what the F.A. need to do:
Prevent foreign billionaires from buyimg Englands football clubd and treating them like properties on their monolpoly boards.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Portsmouth, etc etc etc.
Save British football clubs.
Another thing is that we need to nurture our own talent rather than buying foreign established players.

I couldn't agree more! Whether it be a former Thai PM or American owners who like to squabble amongst themselves, the non-British owners have made a right mess of things within the EPL.

Blackburn Rovers won in 1995.
Liverpool will win tht title sooner or later, but I don't believe that they will win another trophy while they are in the hands of those money hungry capitalistic tycoon yanks.
Save Anfield - the greatest stadium in the world.

Thanks for the info on Blackburn. Not all us Yanks are money hungry capitalistic tycoons. Some of us want the EPL to remain in the hands of the local people.
I agree about Anfield (what I have seen on tv), but sadly progress is progress (if you can call it that).
