@Marquenater I'd like to add that this whole fight stemmed from Lemieux's dirty hit on Kris Draper slamming his face into the boards. L was ejected and Draper suffered a broken jaw, shattered cheek and orbital bone, and required reconstructive surgery involving his jaw being wired shut and numerous stitches. This is why the rivalry was so heated. No "cheap shot" would have sufficed as payback. What Lemieux did was criminal.
