Rush Hour On Interstate 25 In Denver

This video shows a drive through Denver Colorado on Interstate 25 the Valley Highway during the afternoon rush hour. Not too bad an experience, except for one particular left lane blocker, who happened to be driving a big dump truck in front of us most of the way.

There is a couple of good views of the Downtown Denver skyline in this video.

Also included is an example of fast changing Colorado winter weather. A storm had dropped over a foot (probably about 40 cm.) of snow, and it was fast melting in the morning sunshine.

Wow you must have been driving around 1 cuz that is not the rush hour on the 25 that I deal with every day. I use to live on the east coast and often the interstates in the 303 are just as bad unfortunantly.

If you look really close at 2:34. The sign on the Soundtrack billboard says 4:12 changing to 4:13, 55F.

But yeah it was lighter then normal traffic. Of course an hour latter it could have been gridlock for all I know.

i also framed homes that are behind the 7-11 on Araphoe Road exit on 1-25 south. I left Denver back in 73 and have not returned. I lived at 1641 Washington Street Denver.

Yeah North Capital Hill. I know that area well. Sometimes it was a bit scary, but always fun.

@meinernamen Not disagreeing with you, but don't base your opinion of Denver traffic on this video, it is much worse every day. This video is a pretty leisurely drive through the city.

That was hardly what I would call rush hour in Denver. Just tonight it took me over two hours to get from North Denver to Aurora. That is rush hour lol. This was pretty nicely moving traffic in this video.

the only cities worse than Denver in terms of rush hour is DC, and Chicago. i lived in Denver when this scenery took place on this video in 1997, so stay away from I-25 in Denver especially rush hour. other than that, Denver is a great city and easy to get around with the exception of downtown.

I travel to Denver on a monthly basis for business and that video looks like it was taken on a Sunday afternoon and back in the 80s. I also noticed you edited out the old Mile High Stadium. Don't be fooled people; traffic is way worse than this video leads you to believe.

cities in the US do not usually get subways until there atleast 3 times as big as Denver it seems.

Yea I was thinking the same too. No subway system, even in the busy downtown. Kinda unusual.
