Thanks for the good video. I have made several "extensions" from deer cannon bone. Its the bone between the hoof and leg bone. Must say that yours is much bigger than mine though, both the bone and wood piece that fits into the top and the handhold. The bone provides better friction with the cord.

Drill for atleast 50 seconds, dont stop cause youve seen smoke and if it isnt damp you will get a coal, promise, I use sycamore or maple

what works best for the preasure block.
i dont know if this is a retarded question but with the base, do you have make the hole for the spindle, or is that the result of the spindles friction. plz respond

Well you have to make an indent for it to start. But after that, its all friction, and it will eventualy burn through.
