the content of the song and the video (although i found the choice of focusing on a caucasian lover a bit dissonant in the context of the rest of the song/video) are necessary and dangerously ignored by mainstream media. however, the way the lyrics are written make the message sound trite, and the music is unremarkable. that said, i hope deadlee continues to make important music; his message deserves to be heard.

"Just got to be real, man." I admire this guy. The mainstream needs to see a lot more of this stuff. And a lot of us in the 'mainstream' actually WANT to see a lot more of this stuff. Monopolies and advertisers are too cautious.
