So So Modern and Teenwolf - Trance Jam

At the very last show on the legendary So So Modern and Teenwolf "A LOW HUM" tour in Nov/Dec 2005, for the last song, Teenwolf join So So Modern on stage and start what appears to be a random jam before launching into a cover of techno classic "The Launch" by DJ Jean to a packed show.
Trance is back!
This was the very last moment of tour featuring at the time perhaps two of the most popular underground live bands in New Zealand, they only played this song once.

haha. no sweat, though, haha..nobodys the bastard. God, the whole point of most dance music is taking bets and improving on them. Shit most producers start producing after years and years of djing. I doubt they find it easy to cleanse their sub consious of all the music they've played when writing. Also, maybe its High Contrasts "tribute" to the launch, or perhaps he's even licensed the sample. but, haha..it's all good.

DJ Jean's track was a hit in the ninties though...a couple of seconds internet research will reveal who wrote what first. but, yeah..who cares?

No it doesn't matter at all. It's a great riff just as long as people enjoy it. I just listen to High Contrast alot and recognized the similarities in keyboard, hadn't really listened to DJ Jean.

Last time I try and argue with someone with ALOT more knowledge of dance music than me.

So So Modern (with teenwolf) are actually playing a cover, its actually by "DJ JEAN" called "The launch", haha, and it is actually "High Contrast" who stole it from DJ Jean. So So Modern were playing as a trance tribute before a trance party.
