2 big,if i carry it around,
where can i put my groceries

I think the light posterization is a result of the powerful noise reduction. That being said, the low-light video is AMAZING because of it so I'm definitely not complaining.

It's a great camera and the rsults are impressive but you have to think is the camera going to pay for it'self. An investment of around 2350 euros without a good lens and as we have a crisis on top of us, i think I will stay with my 50d and G9 for the moment!!.

It cooperates quite fine. It's only that mk2 picture has a huge compression issue - and it sort of posterizes picture in a way you can see on youtube sometimes. Of course in a much lower degree.

the D700 doesn't even have a video mode! And you're buying a CAMERA here!

talk sense or shut up

I wonder how final cut pro will work with this and the compresors to get a good result in HD format 16:9!. Can still see a lot of testing and results to be done first

it is way better than nikon's D700 for shooting videos, plus it has PCM stereo mic input.
The only complains is that it shoots 30fps (movies are 24fps) and video's time is limited to 4Gb due ( enough for a movie's scene anyways) oh and the sensor gets pretty hot on both cameras while shooting videos so you don't want the video to last more than 30 minutes.
actually...it's not fake at all. that video is currently on its way to the internet in its true form. unfortunately, it's so big (and demand for it is so high) that finding a host willing to take the bandwidth has proven awfully difficult

That last scene - where the man's face goes from out of focus to sharp in a second - is precisely why the video feature is valid on the 5D Mark II. Camcorders, even good ones, can't produce such shallow depth of field; usually most stuff is sharp even when you don't want that.
Yeah, I want one.
