I have seen things so weird that people here would laugh or tell me that I am insane. But I like Dawkins, and I too am sick of this New Age shit. I remember when I read a book by Sylvia Browne, and I took all she said for granted. What a disappointment when I learned that it was just a 'load of bollocks', as the British says. Now I am a more rational person, I like people like Dawkins and Derren Brown, who in his book, thinks along the same lines.

Everything is made of energy, that energy can never cease to exist but may change it's state or form. So scientists and spiritualists have their place, the one understands the intellectual mechanics of it, the other comes to understand it on an emotional level. No need to argue about it at all, it's just about how you want to look at it.

@CathodeRay00 after witnessing the display of hypocrisy with the Brits clammering for social media to be restricted, when the last Olympic their press was going on about China & net freedom,and numerous articles on how info was controlled about the Dahali Lama.They were also far less than full throated in their condemnation of a Tibetian protest that turned into a riot in which innocent Han Chinese were killed with swords. If ONE black rioter KILLED A WHITE WOMEN- we might've seen a lynching.

Well, Dawkins means well, and I admire his restraint for not punching Steven Fuller in the face for being such a douchebag. But if people distrust experts, it's not because of some post-modernist academic agenda to dethrone science (which sounds suspiciously like a conspiracy theory :P)... it has more to do with the basic complexity of our civilization, and the fact that real experts and charlatans are hard to separate in a world saturated by advertising and profiteering.
