I hope you were a good youtube viewer and watched part 1. By itself this won't make any sense.

This is a simple method for making realistic silicone appliance for small cuts, noses, and other appliances.

For more advanced gel-filled appliances check out the Neill Gorton series.

  • When uniting a two-piece mold, I heard that one must create "channels" to allow excess casting material to escape, thus creating a better casting. It doesn't appear that you do this--any thoughts?

  • @creepsomber I did create an overflow area but in this case it was very crude. This is a very simple mold for small appliances.

  • I'm so sorry if you get this comment several times--it doesn't appear to be working!

Great videos! I've spent hours watching them and picked up several hints. What ratio do you use of water to Murphy's?

PS--any videos around of making acrylic nails? I can't get mine clear

  • @GThe0dd0ne0ut If you are very careful removing them. I find it is cheaper just to recast them. This appliance only cost about .75 cents.

  • @brickintheyard Thanks so much!
