when my house got broke into i thought i'd get a cctv camera system installed by the best. paid ADT £1500 deposit and owed them £2000 to pay after install. instead of 2/3 days install took 2 weeks.A camera was not working so after abut 20 calls and 10 months later they move the camera and instead of an apology they send me to court. Most definitely the worst company i have ever dealt with. so many verbal promises that were all broken. i c y we cant comment on their you tube page. STAY AWAY!!!

@Magnet108 - 99% of ADT boxes are dummy boxes, they are NOT wired to the panel. Its only got led's and a battery pack in it. It doesnt make a squeak. abcfireandsecurity.co.uk

Do you have to have ADT service?
-
@Magnet108 You probably have a dummy external ADT box with a lithium battery pack to power the leds hence no sound or strobe when alarm is activated.

@mrmattandmrchay Yes that helps thank you!

@Simmer3194 It's an alarm sounder. They go on the outside of buildings and are connected to the intruder alarm control panel. It makes a loud sound for 15 minutes when the alarm is activated by an intruder, have a zenon strobe light so you can easily identify "which" alarm is sounding if there are many alarm boxes next to each other, and those blue LEDs are just a visual deterent.
Also, in these unit is a battery, so if you cut the wire then it will sound anyway. Hope that helps.
