Riding in the cab of a Kenworth from Craigieburn in the north to Notting Hill in the south east using quite a lot of the Melbourne freeway system. The run took 45' and is played back at 10x. The background soundtrack is from incompetech.com royalty free music.

@Rocketboy1950 Nothing exciting. Drove from Syd to Melb return 4x in 2011 and that exact Melb freeway route is just about the only bit of Melb I've seen. Someone told me last night they have trams down there.... I haven't seen them... lol.

@tsport100 You haven't missed much. I avoid any road that has them. It's not so much that they can be a pain in the arse to get past it's the other idiots in cars that seem unable to get past them that hold you up.

@Rocketboy1950 hmmm dunno Rod, possibly, i`m thinking you have to take into account they drive a bit faster on the autobahns, probably 180 kph+, we travel along like snails at 100/110 most of the country, i think they also have a bit more crappy weather than we do, but i could be wrong :).

@Rocketboy1950 actually after researching this I found that the road death rate per head of population in Germany is lower than Australia. Considering the size of Australia, the high miles that we drive, the fact that most highways are two lane bi directional and we travel vast distances on outback roads dodging animals I think that we do much better than the average European driver.
