Let Me In ~ Chapter 14

Recap: Rebecca and Joe were sleeping together and then Rebecca woke up crying. Joe comforted her.

Nicks POV
I woke up to sounds of muffled crying. I went to the source; Joes room. I quietly opened the door. I saw Rebecca crying and Joe holding her. I went to Kevins room to find an explanation, but instead, I found Kayla, Kevin, and Janette on Kevins bed talking.
Me ~ Hey guys!
Janette ~ Told you hell wake up on his own (Laughs)
Me ~ Hey Janette
I went to Kevins bed and saw down with everyone else. I gave a kiss to Janette and tried to figure out what was going on in this house.
Me ~ So, Im guessing, Rebecca and Joe made up?
Kevin ~ Yeah, but Im afraid she might get hurt.
Then I heard the door being violently being knocked on.

Rebeccas POV
I heard the Jonas door being knocked on very violently. Then I remembered. I was supposed to be home an hour ago. My dad just came back from work and Im at the Jonas. Oh my gosh! Someones going to get hurt! I heard Joe mumbling something and go back to sleep. Wow, hes a deep sleeper. I gently shifted in his arms and he woke up. Now he wakes up?
Joe ~ Whats wrong?
Me ~ I think my dads here
Joe shot right up.
Joe ~ Stay here. Ill be back.
I grabbed his hand and tried to stop him from going.
Me ~ Joe, youre going to get hurt. You dont know what he could do.
Joe ~ Its better then you getting hurt. Stay here okay?
Joe raced out the door and down to the front door. I cant let anyone get hurt.

Joes POV
I raced downstairs and found Kevin and Nick talking to someone.
? ~ (Aggressively) I know my daughters here. She needs to come with me.
Nick ~ (Defensively) She doesnt have to go anywhere with you.
? ~ Do you know who I am?! Im Rebeccas father! Im her legal guardian. She has no choice but to come back with me.
Kevin ~ I dont think so.
Then Rebeccas dad attacked Kevin. After he punched and kicked Kevin down, he went after Nick. I couldnt let Nick get hurt so I stepped in and received Nicks punch. I punched him back. He swiftly took a knife and pressed it against my neck. He made me face the stairs; where Rebecca was.
Me ~ Rebecca, I told you to stay in my room.
Oh no! Shes gonna get hurt.
Rebecca ~ Dad, let Joe go. Ill go with you.
Why doesnt she ever listen to me?!
Kevin ~ (Weakly) No you wont. Were not letting you go back to him.
Nick went in front on Rebecca.
Nick ~ (Getting angrier) Cant you just let her be happy and stay here?!
He ignored Kevin and Nicks comments and stared directly at Rebecca.
Rebeccas dad ~ So Rebecca, its him or you. Make your pick. Remember, that person has to go to them.
Me ~ (outraged) Whos them?!
He pressed the knife onto my neck. I saw Rebeccas face show too much fear for me to struggle again.
Rebecca ~ Joe, please forgive me. Ill explain everything later if I get a chance. Dad, let Joe go. Please.
Rebeccas dad ~ Then get your butt over here.
Me ~ Rebecca, please dont do this.
Nick and Kevin watched Rebecca as she made her way around Nick and down the stairs. Why arent they doing anything?! Rebecca came closer to me and her dad. When she was close enough, he pushed me away and Rebecca took my place. Rebeccas dad gave a satisfying smile. He slowly backed out the door, taking Rebecca with him.
Rebeccas dad ~ Have a good day boys.
I couldnt believe that just happened. I lost her again. No! Im not losing her again. I tried to go after Rebecca, but Nick and Kevin tackled me to the ground. I heard shots.
