Interesting comments. I am an operator and see several errors.
1) door left open
2) No seatbelt, if not for safty at least to maintaine control.
3) I have never and will never go down a step slop with the bucket above me! as sugested in these comments. Always go down with the sprockets down and the bucket grounded.
4) It is likly to be steaper than the Video shows and so I'm picking that sized machine on wet rock could not have been taken down safley, regardless of experince.

there is a difference between a machine DRIVER and a machine OPERATOR, obviously he was not a machine operator and he should never of jumped in it in the first place. if only he had a bit of sense!

im a machine operator too and this does make you think of all.the times i.do.stupid stuff, push that wee bit more or take wee short cuts instead of just making a road down.
