based on Árpád Sopsits idea
Coproduction of Zsámbék Theatre Base and Forte Company
The creators of the performance chose a huge, deserted reinforced concrete hall. Raw concrete, the crowns of the trees lit by spotlights can be seen through the high windows. The walls are grey like concrete, almost white, the floor is thickly covered by flour, and when the actors wade into it, white clouds of dust are created, as if the holes in the floor would breathe when their feet touch the ground.
The text consists of fragments details from the gospels, the apocrypha, but the focus is on the music and on the movements. The story of Christs passion is evolving from the twist and fluctuation, the ceaseless dynamism of the actors - the crowd, the story sometimes starts off from the well-known iconographic scenes, religious images, or the topos of sacred images and paintings, while tells the stations through an unusual variety of saint, tragic and grotesque gestures.
