  • God used Dave's book to save me in 1988. Thank you for being a man , Dave. I struggle with my weaknesses, my pains which often tempt me to be angry and other effects of the black day which probaly damaged my brain as well as my Spirit. I now am using faith to overcome more and more- and am a cell ministry team leader in our church in Dallas.

  • Dave is one of my heroes, thanks for posting this

  • I was the bat boy during that game in Montreal, I was with the Giants. I remember the sound of the arm breaking. I remember the players crying in the dugout. I will never forget this pitch :) Dave is a great human being :)

  • I remember when Dave broke his arm, I was watching that game. I dont believe that there is a God or a Jesus, (and dont try to save me, I grew up Catholic) but I believe Dave has a strength that very few people will ever know.

  • I don't know what the original poster put since it is not up anymore. I do know that Dravecky DID COME BACK in 1989 from cancer. He pitched in two games AFTER he had his bout with cancer. He pitched 8 innings in his first game and I believe 6 in the next game...before his arm snapped in Montreal. I would have to assume IINM is correct because he DID come back from cancer.

  • To the poster: IINM, Dave Dravecky did come back from cancer in 1988 to pitch in the major leagues. However, a gruesome arm injury would end his career the next year.

It is at 1:56 in this clip.

  • Chang Huang, please forgive the idiots that write such garbage. I, as an American, am ashamed for them. Not all Americans are so stupid. May God bless you and help your community.
