@chrispero SOE got better about the cheaters and I think recently released a patch to help prevent it. Still a ton of morons but no patch could fix that.

So is Planetside still alive and kicking? I havn't played it yet and am considering buying it. Would just like to know if it still has a lot of people playing and if its true hackers are everywhere.

@McJamesV SOE released a patch helping to prevent hackers. So it's no where near as bad, I haven't seen a hacker in a while now. The videos I took were recent (in the last 2 months) but yeah it's definitely still kicking with a decent population.

You don't have to buy the game just download the SOE launchpad and you get a free 14 day trial of Planetside to see if you like it. And there's a $15/month fee.

@WilsonNCX they removed the 2 weeks free to play, because of the hackers that abused the free to play (that what I heard about). I played it 2 years ago for free so I got the game for free. but now if you want to start playing the game, you first need to buy it! (ebay, amazone.etc...somtimes the give 1 month free additional to the game) and you still need to pay for every month I think somting about 11$. I still play it, and enough other players. I still lots of fun. I hope I could help ;)
