The Nikon CoolPix P500's Zoom is insane. I call it stalker zoom, but it's like having one of those professional peeping tom cameras. And no I don't go looking into people's windows of spy, i just wanted to show people how powerful this camera is. The girl in the picture is atleast 1000 feet away, through my window. The p500 was set on 640X480 resolution, so no HD video.

Impressive optical zoom indeed. But like in any other camera, going digital on the zoom is clearly destructive. You should take footage of some distant wildlife with this thing. It will blow your mind...and ours. Thanks for sharing:)
