Generally tube amps will be more powerful than solid state amps, this is a definite thing in guitar amps, in hifi amps, you'll have to get more powerful tubes happening, but still, due to the fact tubes have a fuller sound and such, they'll always prevail.

wow i never knew tube amps could put out so much power it looks good sounds good too. i had the same problem with my gainclone with the humming never fixed it tho i lost interest in it lol
what type of speakers were that! love the desighn of your amp!!

@SpeakerFreak95 I think those were Pioneer B20's. Got them from Parts Express.
I've since upgraded to a pair of Frazier speakers with tweeters to get better treble response.

It was one of the CD's that was in my test player. At least it doesn't get muted :-)
