None of these "modern" bands are hardcore. Your just ignorant, guessing you didn't keep up? I go to local hardcore shows all the time like once every week or two. What about bands like bane, have heart, ceremony, cold world, stick together, trash talk, free spirit? i could keep going. none of the bands you listed fall under the hardcore genre in any way.

ever notice how those kids love to flail their fists and spin kick at a comfortable 7-10 feet away from each other? i saw the explosion cover seeing red by minor threat one time and all 1000 kids in the crowd spent the two minutes clawing past and over each other for a shot to get to the mic and rupture their vocal chords... that's hardcore

Well I liked all the songs you played and all the bands you listed except the ridiculously gay hawthorne heights and mcr haha! Bands like Stick To Your Guns and Hatebreed are still hardcore man! There is such thing as modern Hardcore and most local bands I know are all Hardcore bands not metalcore n shizz :L maybe not as hardcore as like xrepresentx and whatever but its still out there! and modern bands have just as good crowds as other ones!

@punklover99 understandable, but honestly in my opinion hardcore punk is growing as we speak, the angst is building. its like that 7 seconds album in 04 "take it back take it on take it over", the hardcore punk scene has been flourishing but still really underground. but seriously believe people when they say its alive and well. like it aint no joke ahha

@punklover99 calm the fuck down, penywise is a good band no one said they werent. and scenester do not listen to real hardcore. i personally know a bunch and they dont listen to hardcore, theyll listen to "post hardcore" but everyone knows that genre is bull shit.i have never seen a scenester at a real hardcore show. . im not talking about a day to remember or devils wear prada dude.. that isnt hardcore. xTrappedUnderIcex knows what the fuck is up
