  • The art does not make the fighter. I'm a 10 year wingchun practitioner. There are WC fighters that succeed in MMA but I also believe that Anderson Silva is one the best fighers ever. Trust me. His style is not what made him champion. He is just a awesome fighter period! If you think its about style alone....what can I say?

  • nice technics l like it :)

  • @kmangum: Personnaly I dont care about MMA.The art isnt to becom "modern warrior".In my point of view "the warrior"is the lowest goal we can follow in this world. Remenber Martial Art teach philosophy of NON VIOLENCE. Not look who's the best. Its for child mind. Teenagers also. But a real martial artist doesn't look for fight to prouve anything. Just follow the way of life and be happy in this world is something very difficult when you only want to be a sort of "warrior", my friend!

  • wing chun kung fu. i found my style. hards fist rapid punches

  • mir gefällt, was ich da sehe.

  • @fasanpakmeikune - I know exactly what I mean. You cannot refine your skills hitting a Thai-pad or punching bag that doesn't hit back. Yesterday in sparring I almost got knocked out because I became predictable. The ring in real competition with real fighters is the best way to completely test yourself. Its almost impossible to street fight without the police getting involved and getting charged. So if you cannot street fight then what do you do? No choice have to fight in the ring.

  • @iApna You don't know what do you mean! the ring are not the reality, i have praticed the ring when i am young, and after i works in the club. My years in the club are ver very more good for the real experience n fithing. I practice Fat San Pak Mei in the real situation and the traditional martial art are very practical f you have the good caracter and the bottles! The ring are just a sport with rulers

  • Great clip. Thanks for posting.

  • очень хороший мастер, и эффективная версия вин чун.

  • i bought his dvd , he is really awesome !!!!!

  • Fight psychology is not developed by hitting pads, the heavy bag or doing basic kick/punch drills with a partner. Personally I would never learn how to fight from someone who has never entered the ring. The ring is the only place an instructor can be tested which would provide evidence of his/her experience. Without ring experience backgrounds are all just bogus stories.

  • I do not think its easy as saying "The art does not make the fighter" - The art shapes your body, soul and mind. Coupled with the right instruction from field tested masters, Ajarns, SIFU, etc... can make all the difference.

I do not believe its style alone, but a major contributing factor. Another major factor is the instructor. Does he (or she) have the experience? Have they ever been in the ring?

Ring experience is critical - Without it how do you develop the fight psychology? cont'
