GREENVILLE, SC - If you receive a notice that your car warranty is about to expire, you're not alone. Postcards and letters marked "urgent" or "final notice" are going out by the millions.

Jack B., of Simpsonville, said he's received plenty of these notices, in addition to an estimated 75 telemarketing calls from auto warranty companies.

  • Use our site to see the truth. Warranty Investigation Bureau

  • That bastard at the dealer isnt telling you the whole truth. When he says the warranty company wants a discount on the hourly rate. When you sign up for a gmpp plan or any manufacturers warranty they to get a discount. The shop works on commission. They absolutely hate manufacturers warranties because the manufacturer only pays pennies on the dollar to that franchise. I know, I worked at the dealer.

  • got a call from them a day or two ago... I'm in Japan and haven't owned a car for 6 years... I have a SkypeIn number with a NY area code.

  • Everybody should watch this video first, it explains EVERYTHING! Don't forget: if you get a phone call and have to listen to a machine for more than two SECONDS before talking to a human, the company has already violated the FTC's "Telemarketing Sales Rule."

Beware of companies with vague names like that, too! They'll say they're putting you on the "do not call" list, then change the company's name and freaking call again!

  • I call them several times a day spamming them.. just to see how they like it. Haha. I love it though. Give them a ring and give them an earful. *67 877*700*5880 =)

  • i like these calls, gives my a chance to widen my "vocabulary"

  • I've had them call me 10-15 times in one month....funny part was the car i had was a 1989 with 147,000miles!

  • we have got them twice in 2 days . its a scam and we have reorted it to the local papers. my mom gave the lady a peice of her mind!
