The Swiss have a right to choose whom they want in their country. Immigrants must be able to give something to the country they move to not just want a handout. That's a realistic fact and not racist. I am an Iraqi in Luxembourg.

The other guy in this video was complaining about the situation. But his German was not that good.

In some countries immigrants have to pass a Medical test, including chest X ray, blood and drug test. In addition to educational and financial selection.

Don`t forget,the immigrants in Switzerland cause the greatest cost to the social welfare.

people should learn about the background of this... There is a reason why Emmen rejects many of the applications: They have many foreigners there... and about 80% of crime is commited by Balkans. At school, there are classes in which there are only like 2-3 swiss students. And they are clearly outnumbered. I'm not racist. But that's just a reason why they decided it like that.

I can't believe so many people actually agree with this policy. People shouldn't be able to determine other people's fate based on their heritage. I've had childhood friends deported, I've had friends go through this sickening process and be rejected, even though they are much more upstanding, hard-working and patriotic than your average Swiss. But immigrants seeking citizenship are simply always in the weaker position. Where I come from, there are literally smear campaigns being waged against

the funny thing is that the whole point of a council of swiss nationals who decide who gets in is flawed, someday that small part of people of the balkans who made it in are gonna make their way into the council and theyre gonna revert this pseudo-social but really discriminatory,xenophobic policies

Of course we decide who receives a passport. Should be like this everywhere. I had to earn my swiss passport. So should everybody else.

@LORDMCHUGH EU nationals have some special benefits if they decide to move to switzerland. You'd still have to wait 12 years to even think of citizenship though. And I would't really recommend Zurich, life is insanely expensive there, especially if you want to live near the center

05:14 What;'s problem with allowing the citizens to vote directly on whether or not to allow citizenships to immigrants?. Of course people are racist and xenophobic, but at least in Switzerland the government listens to what the people want. I can't imagine this Swiss system of dealing with immigration ever being as insane as the state of Arizona and other U.S. south border states.
