The only point he was right on was "every OS has problems".HOWEVER, In the case of microsoft or apple products you have to rely on them if the problem is serious. In linux it can be fixed and you can forget about it 99% of the time. Peoples' lives depend on Linux based systems more than they realize. From secure and stable servers for sites such as Google to CERN to US military applications. The NSA and white house use it for example. What does that say about linux and it's reliability?

I was working for almost a year on a Mac doing video productions and every day I was discovering new ways to get a heart attack. I have 8 years of experience doing video production on windoze with adobe software, never had a problem. Things got even better with Vista&win7

My Opinion on OSs

Windows for any kind of work

Linux for very specific work and office work. Safe web surfing and some entertainment (video, music)

Macs...can't think of any reasons to "get a mac"

It's beyond me why people listen to this guy. I mean he's a descent guy but he's not an expert or an engineer or a computer scientist. He can't even write software. That's like asking an artist how to solve a PDE - he doesn't even know what a PDE is. Every OS sucks for him because he doesn't know how to use the OS and he only uses it to watch movies, listen to music and browse the Internet. Every OS is good if you know what the pros/cons are and how to use it. I love Windows, Linux, Mac!

Mac OS X uses the XNU (X is Not Unix) kernel, which is a mixture of the Mach kernel and FreeBSD (originally BSD).

It existed 2-3years before before Linus Torvalds started writing the Linux kernel.

Linux and OS X are both Unix-like, but they don't share any code.
